Hi there, as we are still working our event Programming for this years Kitchener Comic Con, and for those who may not know about the even. Kitchener Comic Convention is a small coalition of clubs from both the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as event groups from the region who have all come together to showcase the wonderfulness of comic book pop-culture! We have a lot in store for this ONE day event! Here is some of our event Programming for this years Kitchener Comic Con, and for those who may not know about this fantastic event, Kitchener Comic Convention is a small coalition of clubs from both the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as event groups from the region who have all come together to showcase the wonderfulness of comic book pop-culture! We have a lot in store for this one day event!

It’s party time! PEA -EH-ARE-TEA—WHY? Because we gotta!
AND with that, we have the Waterloo Public Library to host our super cool 2018 LEGO PARTY! In Where the master builders of tomorrow can make their favorite constructs and have an awesome time.
Calling all citizens! Kitchener Comic Con needs your help to create a superhero to fight the forces of Evil!
If you are under the age of sixteen (16), enter your hero in our tournament. Maybe your hero will win! For everyone else, please help us (and contestants) by voting for heroes on our Facebook Page!(www.KitchenerComicCon.com/facebook) Drawing Contest Rules: Contest entrants must be under the age of sixteen (16) and have the approval of their parent/legal guardian. Said parents/legal guardian must provide working contact email. One entry per person. Winners will be chosen a selection of judges and will be announced after the conclusion of the Comic Art Panel. Online Tournament Rules: Contest entrants must be under the age of sixteen (16) and have the approval of their parent/legal guardian. Said parents/legal guardian must provide working contact email. One entry per person. Voting will take place on the Kitchener Comic Con Facebook page. The contest will be a single elimination tournament where the winner of each bracket is determined by votes online. The votes will be cast in the comment section of the post containing the pair of contestant pictures. There will be a time limit on how long the voting last; once that time passes all further votes (on that specific bracket) will be void. Limit one vote per person, per bracket (however feel free to vote on multiple brackets). Each bracket winner will carry the votes it gained from the previous round into the next (but you are allowed to vote for it again). Please refer to our convention schedule for times for this wonderful event .

In addition to this years KCC event’s, we will have Cosplay Events for those individuals who would like to dress up and have more fun. Please note that this is a COMIC BOOK event first and foremost – not to take anything away creatively -BUT- we encourage you to prepare your costume/dress accordingly to this year’s event, which is all things COMIC BOOK themed, so we all can have fun in what we do. Lastly, please note, to qualify for our events and prize pool – you must be a Hero, and purchase a VIP pass. We do thank you for your understanding. Here are other events.
> Best In Show There will be a costume contest for Everyone who love to cosplay, prize will be awarded to the winner at the end of the event. More info on this be posted.
> Cosplay Class Photo 2018
On the Saturday 5:00pm any cosplayers wanting to participate in the contest will gather during this time. Come take pictures of the cosplayers and vote for your favorite cosplay!
We welcome you to our first ever video project Challenge for 2018 . In this year’s challenge, we are looking for independent filmmakers to make a five to ten minute cinematic superhero masterpiece.
To register for this event, You will need to send us an email at info(AT)kitchenercomiccon(DOT)com for us to send you our online form and a $10 entry fee per team , by click to http://shop.animemanga.ca/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_2&products_id=13 . Once sent, you will receive an email confirming that your application has arrived. If you do not receive an email, contact us immediately. The deadline to receive your entries is February 24th , spaces are limited.
This is an opportunity for you (and your team) to stand out as a filmmaker within the Region of Waterloo.
Criteria
* Running time of a maximum of 10 minutes.
* May be shot in any format, but final submission must be submitted in a DVD format (NTSC, Region 5).
* May be shot in color or in black & white.
* English Subtitles may be used

Made Popular by the pop culture phenomenon movie Star Wars, Kitchener Comic-Con proudly presents, a one of a kind obstacle game to those who have a VIP pass at this years event .
This event will take place on Sunday at 1 p.m. – more information will be at our Star Wars group fan promotional table, FIFTH DEEP CORE ARMY

Kitchener seems to have a real problem with its Living Dead populous of things! but don’t you worry, we’ll have umbrella Corp on hand, just in case –IF– the unliving challenge vermin decide to rise and invade our event.

We got to ask… Who doesn’t like to take part in some gaming ? At Kitchener Comic Con, we most certainly do! With our what are itchy gaming trigger fingers, we have the good people at Game Asylum on hand rolling on in, to add to our day of fun ! More on can be found at:

All the way from the apocalyptic Wasteland of Mega City one, we will have Judge Brown from Sector 519 on display to show case his one tool in fighting crime, and that would be Judge Brown’s motorbike called The Law-Bike. The Law-Bike is an off road version of a Law-Master !
We hope t
hat most on gores at Comic-Con will be happy to find that the Spider-Mobile will be at this years event…don’t tell KW Deadpool because he want to bring his car as well.
