Does the thought of finding a parking spot in downtown Kitchener have you going around in circles? Don’t worry! The City of Kitchener provides convenient, safe, affordable and accessible parking facilities in and around our core, including:
- More than 3,400 off-street parking spaces
- More than 390 free two-hour on-street parking spaces
- 19 municipal car-parks
- Five fully automated parking structures located at City Hall, Civic District, Kitchener Market, Charles & Benton and Duke & Ontario streets.
Kitchener’s newest parking structure opened in December 2013.
- Underground parking garage on Queen Street North, next to the Kitchener Public Library.

There is no re-parking allowed within 5 hours of initial parking in the two hour free parking spaces in downtown Kitchener. See map of applicable downtown streets.
